Last Month at Lit: Love, Laughter & Legacy in Action

To God be the glory!

What a month it’s been at Lit New Haven!
From our first-ever Lit Lot to Trap Yoga, Comedy Night, and neighborhood love across the city—this past month reminded me exactly why we opened these doors in the first place.

We are more than a dispensary. We are a space for community, creativity, and collective healing.

💥 Our First Lit Lot Was a Whole Vibe

Last month, we hosted our first-ever Lit Lot event—and it was nothing short of amazing.

🌟 20+ local vendors
💬 Countless conversations between small business owners and new customers
🎶 Food, music, culture, and connection all in one safe, beautiful space

It was more than a pop-up—it was a statement. That we can create our own tables. That we can support each other, economically and intentionally. That Lit New Haven is a platform for the people—not just a store.

🏘️ Neighborhood Spotlights: Repping All Corners of the City

All month long, we’ve been honoring New Haven one neighborhood at a time.
From Fair Haven to East Rock to Westville, we’ve invited residents to come through and take advantage of discounts, deals, and a warm welcome.

Why? Because we want everyone in this city to feel like Lit is theirs.
We don’t just sell cannabis—we build community. And we’re just getting started.

🧘🏾‍♀️ Trap Yoga, 🎤 Comedy Night & 🎬 Movie Vibes

One of my personal highlights this month was Trap Yoga. It was powerful. Black joy and wellness in motion. A moment to stretch, release, and reclaim our space—with music, laughter, and light.

Comedy Night had us all in tears (the good kind). The jokes were real, relatable, and exactly what we needed. And every Friday Movie Night continues to bring folks together—under the stars, with snacks, and safe good energy.

These events aren’t just for fun. They’re for healing, for connection, and for showing what’s possible when we create our own lane.

💡 Why Lit New Haven Needs Your Support

Here’s the truth:
We are the only cannabis business in the city solely rooted in social equity.
We’re not here to extract—we’re here to reinvest.

Lit New Haven was built by someone who understands what it feels like to be from a place that didn’t always protect you—but to love that place enough to come back, build, and do better.

We’re here to:

  • Hire from our communities

  • Elevate small, local, and Black-owned brands

  • Create space for education, healing, and second chances

  • Be the example of what reinvesting looks like—even in a city that caused harm

Because I know I wasn’t the only one harmed by the war on drugs. And I know healing takes more than words—it takes action. That’s what Lit New Haven is.

✊🏾 Join the Movement. Stay Lit.

If you’ve supported us already—thank you.
If you haven’t stopped by yet—come see the difference.
If you believe in ownership, in equity, in real community care—we need you here.

This is more than a moment. It’s a movement.
And we’re so grateful you’re part of it.
